‘RIKKI’ – RS 10 LAKH SET DEMOLISHED AT KARKALA

One of the lavish and passionate producers of Kannada cinema SV Babu team of ‘Rikki’ in the debut direction of Rishab Shetty starring Rakshit Shetty and Haripriya – a huge set of Rs.10 lakhs built on 30x50 dimension by Shekhar was demolished for the film climax.

It was a massive turn out of extra artists, television crews, media, and onlookers of Bailoor village. A situation of SEZ (Special Economic Zone) recreated for the film with lot of hard work was seen demolished at 5 pm on Sunday with three JCB’s.


At the first shot a huge coconut tree was put down, second time the first bash of JCB took place and at this time a yellow T shirt wearing youth was seen coming out. He was there accidentally with JCB from Hubli. His mobile had fallen down. He was there to pick it up. Thank god nothing happened. Basappa from Hubli came out of craze to visit the shooting spot was pacified and offered water and chocolates by producer SV Babu.


In the third and fourth hit the entire house was razed. A similar house was razed five years ago in the SEZ scheme. The inmates of the house live at the Kalavaru village even today. The justice is denied till today for that family is also one of the focal point of ‘Rikki’ says Rishab Shetty heading the megaphone.


The demolition activity was participated by media, police and JCB squad. Actress Haripriya house demolition order has come. Screaming and begging for stopping demolition of the house was enacted by Haripriya. The women constables holding Haripriya tightly to rescue her from entering the demolition place was also captured with some wonderful performance.


Cameraman Venkateshan Anguraj has whirred three cameras. SV Babu known for lavish scale with executive producer Ganesh used the space behind the house. For that he leveled the haphazard land.


Nearly 150 persons were pressed in to action for this touching scene of demolition of heroine house in the film ‘Rikki’. The protagonist of the film Radhakrishna and female protagonist is Radha – both names clubbed is titled as ‘Rikki’ by intelligent and workaholic director Rishab Shetty.
